Program Cinta Rumah Anak Yatim

 Program Cinta Rumah Anak Yatim

“Kami Kasih Kami Sayang”

On 29 March 2024, our group of 10 people visited the orphanage of the Harapan Cultural Care Centre located in Rawang Selangor. We arrived as early as 9:00 a.m. there. After we arrived, a total of 25 orphans including 3 helpers welcomed us well and warmly. We have also been doing activities together with the orphans to brighten up their day. There were five activities that we carried out on the day, among which were carrying a table tennis ball in a spoon, carrying a rubber band using a straw, a damaged radio, a bottle fishing and filling the water in a bottle using a sponge. These activities are carried out in a recreational park near the orphanage. After all of them had finished their activities, we could see the reaction of their faces looking cheerful and smiling broadly. In addition, with this activity, it can also strengthen the relationship between people and promote the love of one another. The role of human beings in doing activities or social work is very important to the community, especially orphans. Every human being must work together and ensure that the well-being and needs of the orphans are well met. This can cause love and affection in oneself. We also need to pay full attention to them so that they do not feel lonely and neglected.

We, a group of 10 people have unanimously agreed to do this social work to meet the criteria of the MPU 3222 Social Work Skills course. We have given one name for this activity which is the Orphanage Love Program. Through this program, new knowledge and experiences can be gained by each person and can be shared with others. As a caring and caring citizen, giving and sharing love to orphans is an important role in everyone's life. In addition to providing money, clothing and food, emotional and spiritual support is also important for them to continue living like everyone else. With this program in place, we hope that it will help reduce the loneliness and loneliness that they go through on a daily basis.

There are several purposes that we take to visit the orphanage. The tour aims to better understand the life difficulties these children have been through since their childhood. Next, trying to help them cope with each of their problems because without guidance from their parents and the attention of community members, these orphans easily fall into the wrong way of life and grow up to be troubled adults. In addition, the purpose of this visit to the orphanage is to give them love so that they do not feel marginalised or neglected. The need to complement their emotional and mental well-being is essential so that they do not face any psychological problems such as depression. Next, we want to build good memories by spending time doing interesting activities so that they can also feel the happiness they deserve. The visit also aims to encourage interaction between orphans and visitors. This interaction between them needs to be emphasised as it allows them to expand their social environment with others. This interaction will allow orphans to gain new friends and be able to cultivate a sense of confidence in themselves. In conclusion, this visit helps to strengthen their self-confidence and socialising skills in order to live in a society without feeling differently.

Our objectives encompass a holistic approach to the well-being of orphans, aiming to provide them with emotional support, cultivate joy and connection, and facilitate positive learning experiences. Central to our mission is the creation of a safe and empathetic environment where orphans can freely express their feelings and experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and emotional stability. Through engaging in fun activities and promoting teamwork, we seek to cultivate positive emotions and foster meaningful connections among participants, allowing them to build shared memories and experiences. Moreover, we recognize the importance of providing tailored learning sessions and activities that cater to the specific needs and interests of orphans, whether it be in art, education, or life skills. By offering opportunities for growth and development, we aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of orphans, ultimately contributing to their mental, emotional, and social well-being.

At Harapan Saujana Impian Cultural Care Centre, we have been doing various physical activities with orphans to boost social vigour among Unisel students and orphans. There are several activities carried out, among which are bottle fishing, damaged radio, bringing rubber bands using straws, bringing ping-pong balls in spoons and filling water in bottles using sponges. These activities are aimed at creating a good interaction between us and the orphans. In addition, building strong social relationships between Unisel students and orphans as well as creating a harmonious and inclusive environment for each individual.

As planned, we promised to gather at 7:30 a.m. and leave for the orphanage of the Harapan Cultural Care Centre located in Rawang. Upon reaching the destination, we begin our activities with the chairman of the programme giving a speech and followed by a speech from the manager. After the session of acquaintance with the orphans, without delaying time, we went to a nearby field to conduct game activities. We divide the children into groups before starting the first game, which is to bring a ping pong ball in a spoon. While performing this game, the children in this care centre are still tense as if they are still clumsy with us. But, once the game is over and we move on to the second game , the phone is broken. Children who used to look clumsy and like we were afraid of our side, have now begun to get comfortable and carve out a smile. Other games also continued such as bottle fishing, rubber band straw, and filling water in bottles. All these games are very loved by such children. They play happily and fit. Those who were initially clumsy and shy also seemed more comfortable and friendly with us, they also began to joke with us. After the activities and games as stated in the proposal, we returned to the orphanage for lunch. After lunch, we presented gifts and souvenirs to the children and the orphanage of the Hope Cultural Care Centre. Before resigning, we were able to pose for a photo with all the children there as a memorable memory and experience for us.

We face a number of challenges in carrying out activities such as difficulties in obtaining sponsorship from outside parties. So, we're trying to get a sponsor from the bank. We also created an poster containing a QR code for anyone who wants to donate to orphans. We channel those posters all over the place like on social media and others. In this way, we are able to raise enough money to carry out the activities we are planning. The money that can be raised is intended to buy gifts, provide food for orphans and also cover the cost of our transportation oil. In addition, we also experience challenges in organising the game activities on time. On the day of the incident. We need to change the time program for each activity. This was due to the very hot weather at that time. Therefore, we had to set a short time for each activity so that the orphans could complete it quickly. We are also careful in caring for and managing them on the day as our presence should bring a feeling of joy for them and time to have fun. Other than that, there were no challenging events for us.

In our opinion, this activity we do provides a wealth of experience and information that can be obtained for everyone. This is because such experiences cannot be obtained anywhere because we usually only learn from information from books. With this activity, we had the opportunity to see firsthand that the extent of communication is important to strengthen the relationship with each other. In addition, this activity teaches us as educators to organise and handle activities related to the practice of professional teachers. It can also foster moral and cultural principles that support other communities by working together with government bodies and the people to ensure that orphans are protected. Visiting this care centre can have an impact on us that it is important to understand and share the advantages that others have. In addition, interacting with orphans and their helpers can help build positive human relationships. Finally, seeing the living conditions of orphans can open their eyes to appreciate what has been given to God. This can create gratitude and awareness in oneself.

The conclusion that comes from this incredible experience is how important values such as love and responsibility are in our lives. Through our interaction with orphans at the Harapan Saujana Cultural Care Centre, we have been stroked with invaluable benefits. Our dream of giving them a meaningful experience emanates through every value we live. We cannot forget the great contribution from Mr. Mohd Amir Bin Abdullah, who not only hinted but also inspired us to complete this task successfully. Every tutoring received is an award that we cherish with great gratitude. Not only that, to our valuable group members Nur Zalilah Binti Mohd Noor Azim, Syarah Umairah Binti Mohd Ikhwan, Nurnafisha binti Norizam Faizal, Anbarasi a/p Selvakumar, Nor Azizah Binti Sakroni, Errin Shaeira Danial Binti Sharin, Rishna Balan, Tan Pei Ling, Nur Fathiyah Binti Abdul Jali and Nur Illiya Binti Mazni. With this in mind, we would like to express our infinite gratitude. The collaboration given in carrying out this task has created a fun and productive work atmosphere. The time spent with them is not just work, but also fostering a close bond of friendship. We also hope that through the activities we carry out, the orphans at the Harapan Saujana Cultural Care Centre will be able to benefit from the ongoing benefits. The knowledge they gain is not only a guide to their future but also enriches their lives at every stage. It is hoped that this activity will not only benefit us, but also to all individuals involved. Hopefully, every interaction we go through will have a positive impact on the lives of all of us, especially for the students, students, and orphans who participated in this experience.
